Experience

I began my career in the Pittsburgh office of a large, multi-national law firm where I focused my practice on financial services litigation.  I joined Del Sole Cavanaugh Stoyd LLC in 2003 so that I could provide clients with the same caliber of service but on a more cost-effective basis.  With the exception of a brief tenure as the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, Procurement and Insurance of EQT Corporation, I have been with the firm since 2003.

In my nearly twenty-year career, I have tried multiple cases to verdict in both state and federal court.  My clients run the gamut from fortune 500 companies to individuals and I handle both complex, multi-party litigation and dual-party cases.

I represent both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad spectrum of commercial matters including, but not limited to, oil and gas leasing, unfair trade practices, misappropriation of trade secrets, covenants not to compete, shareholder disputes, engineering/architectural malpractice, commercial disparagement, breach of contract, intentional interference with contract and freight brokerage.

Education

I graduated magna cum laude, first in my class from Duquesne University School of Law.  I was a member of the Duquesne Law Review and served as its Executive Articles Editor during my third year.  I was also the recipient of two separate full-tuition scholarships – the James P. McArdle Memorial Scholarship (1998-1999) and the Dean’s Scholarship for Excellence (1999-2001).
